This post might not be about what you expected, perhaps even wanted, it to be. Sure, it’s about love, but mostly it’s about a tray.
I've been looking for one ever since I moved into my new place, but I just couldn't seem to find the right one. They were either the wrong size, the wrong shape, the wrong color or the wrong pattern. I wanted something bold, yet quiet and discrete enough to blend in with the rest of my stuff.
I felt I found exactly what I was looking for when I stumbled upon this one, Plattan, by Barbro Tryberg Boberg. It's inspired by
Sergels Torg, a square in Stockholm, famous for it's triangular black and white pattern.
It was worth waiting for. I know it's the right one.
If you want one too, you can buy it from La Maison d'Anna G. They ship all over the place.
When I'm not using the tray it's a backcloth to another favorite; my water boiler from Kenwood.
It hides the ugly wall socket too. The next Nobel prize to the one who invents cordless electricity!
It's kind of a hysterical combination, the tray and my table ware from Studio-Line, but I think it works.
It also goes along well with the tea towel, napkins and kettle-holders from Ferm Living that I bought in Copenhagen when I was there in August. Or is it rather a complete mismatch?
